    Angry CONSEALED CARRY SHORT COMINGS

I really like my Bersa Thunder 380. It may be my all time favorite. I bought it as a carry gun but that's not working out. The problem is I live in central Florida where daily attire is one layer, usually a polo shirt or the like and rarely a jacket or outer layer. The dang thing is just too obvious and hard too conceal. I could go to an inside the waist holster but heat and humidity preclude that. I tried out the Bersa T380cc at my dealer shop but it's really no help. So it looks like the Bersa is going to be a great car gun. Dang I hate that. Of course, anytime a longish jacket or hoodie is required the Bersa is ideal but that happens NOT often around here.

Any of you guys had this problem and how did you deal with it? Perhaps one of these pocket pop guns ?

You are just going to have to break down and wear a sleeveless undershirt under your Polo shirt. Some folks call them grampa shirts. Make your Polo one size larger than normal, and get the right holster that pulls that gun inward. Clinger and Pyntek both make a kydex holster that will keep that Thunder close to your body.
I live in Mobile and thats what I do. Whether I'm wearing jeans or shorts.... that thin lightweight sleeveless undershirt keeps the grip or holster from rubbing my side, and the over-sized outer shirt covers the gun well.

I have no real answer for you. I can cc a full size 1911 owb and no one ever notices it. My guess is you THINK it's obvious. It's really not. People tend to be oblivious. I'm pretty sure I could carry a Desert Eagle and not be overt about it.

That's easy when ya wear khakis and Hawaiian shirts year 'round!
Joking aside, when I saw Florida and need to conceal, the Hawaiian shirt did immediately come to mind.

I live in Florida and always have my CC in an N82Holster. Never gets a drop of moisture due to the holsters construction. The problem they only make the N82 original for the Thunder .380. Mayu here have the original and say it works fine. I have the pro for my XD's

    https://n82tactical.com/

After years of mistakes and a drawer full of old holsters, I finally found the best one for Florida.

Oh, by the way only YOU know your holster and gun shows (prints), no one else does.

I started carrying when I retired. With no restrictions caused by work, etc, I decided what I wanted to carry, then dressed to cover it. I found that an untucked shirt will hide just about anything you want to carry. Of course, a proper holster & belt are key. May have to wear a size larger than normal, if you button it. Works real well in the east Texas heat/humidity. I got used to a t-shirt as an undershirt during my stint in the army.

    Gentleman All,

You've given me something to think about and some things to try. Many thanks for your response. I'll get back to you on how it works out. Hawaiian shirts, hummmm .

I stand corrected, it looks like the remora came out with a sweat shield model. At first they didn't offer it. So agreed, the remora is in the OP's line up.

I recommend against the reinforced-top Remoras, they are stiff and you feel it against your body more.

    Re: CONSEALED CARRY SHORT COMINGS

on the subject of your CCW printing, i think 99.9% of the public is too enthralled with their phones or otherwise so unaware of their surroundings that they would barely notice open carrying, much less a lump under your shirt that could just as easily be a large phone clipped to your belt (in their minds anyway). i've had exactly 2 people comment to me about carrying - one was a grocery store bagger that noticed it (was open carrying except it was still covered by a jacket - he saw it when i got my wallet out), and a guy in a restaurant that noticed it while walking by and asked me what type it was.

other than that, nobody has noticed no matter how much it printed.

Since Texas adopted open carry, printing is no longer a deal. I still wear a cover when I go into Longview, but don't take the pains to be sure it doesn't show. Before that, they told us just a bump, etc doesn't count as printing. It had to reveal the pistol outline & a holster can prevent that. May vary with each state.

Holsters are like guns, you have your favorites. For all leather I have UBG's. Here in Florida my favorite is the N82 Tactical Pro. Soft as a ducks ass aginst bare skin, 100% moisture proof , with super retention.

My UBG's are reserved for my Bersa's

Funny the UBG is made by Nate.
The N82 is like it sounds Nate X2 or 2 Nates. Lol

    I don't like kydex! Period!

So, I did a couple of post in this thread but I had to plug UBG for their craftsmanship in the leather line up too.

I carry my Thunder, in my carry rotation, and I have no issues with printing. I carry mine in a Fobus Kydex paddle holster, OWB. It's all about your clothes and belt. I carry either OWB or pocket, and I have a number of collared "no tuck" shirts I have bought (one size big), and they cover just fine.

When my wife and I lived in the Naples area, I started to dress this way so I could carry in the heat....I just carried the attire over to Indiana living now.

    Re: CONSEALED CARRY SHORT COMINGS

Okay, so I have ordered a Remora IWB holster with the extended sweat shield and the "tuckable" feature. Tuckable allows one to tuck your shirt over the holster even in IWB mode. I got the leather lining just for the hell of it. It's due to arrive today.

I ordered "on line", a more or less painless experience and they were quick to answer a few questions I posed. Of course they now know my email add and have been sending me adds twice a day for 10 days now announcing a 30% off sale. I sent them a email pointing out I had just ordered and asking for the discount . The response was more or less unintelligible. O well.

While I'm on line lets address the safety issue posed a few posts back re the dangers of drawing/re holstering. The reason we (many of us) like the Bersa T380 is because of the DA/SA design. I carry my gun with a shell in the chamber, decocked in DA mode. The danger of an unintentional discharge is low. One has to pull the trigger through it's full range which only then cocks and fires the gun. Yep, that 1st DA shot may not be as accurate as subsequent SA shots but then I haven't shot myself instead of the target. If I'm lucky. LOL
