I may be willing to pay that for decent self defense rounds when I get my carry permit, but I thought it was a little steep for range ammo. Today I checked again and they had stocked some of the Fiocchi ammo, at $20 for a 50 round box. I thought that was much more reasonable so I picked up two boxes. Can I do much better than that if I buy online or is that about the going rate? I couldn't find it online much cheaper than that. As long as they keep it in stock I'd just as soon buy it there if there isn't a huge difference in price.
Typical lows that I see searching for .380 on the web are not far from what you found for range ammo at the local gun store. My .22 frame falls nicely into my hand, so much so that I put a set of highly functional Crimson Trace Laser Grips on it just for kicks and giggles which make it fast, fast, fast as long as she does not go jamo-o-matic on me when being fed anything other than CCI Mini-Mag CPRN #0300. Sadly I cannot found those little CCI boolets ANYWHERE except for an occasional offer at off-planet costs. But it is a great little mouse gun, mostly.

    Re: Louisiana

Here's link to a thread in our Ammo Chat section with links to on-line ammo sources. The search links will give you price comparisons. If you have a Walmart near you, find out what days they usually get ammo shipments & be there early. They'll usually be as cheap, if not cheaper, than on-line sources & no freight. Garwha found some WWB .380 100 rd boxes for about $35 & got a couple for me. But I must caution you that some Bersas are picky about the Winchester flat head .380, although mine & Marty's are not.

    Re: Louisiana

Welcome to Bersa Chat michael476 from east Texas. Raised in Shreveport, but I escaped Louisiana as soon as I could. Actually the folks I worked for transferred me to west Texas & left me there to dry out. I changed jobs & eventually wrangled a transfer to east Texas which is close to home, but with better roads & better political climate.

Not a requirement for membership since we have places to visit for just about any firearm, but what flavor Bersa do you have or are thinking about getting?

Shreveport, or just outside of it anyway here. Lived in East Texas a long time but I'm in North Caddo parish now. I'm a happy thunder 380 owner and I'm glad to be here.

Howdy, cdcharles.....welcome to Bersa Chat. I spent a lot of days in Shreveport training aircraft mechanics at the airport and dragging FAA agents away from the casino tables. Glad you like your Thunder.

Benton, La., here. We're next door to Bossier City which is across the Red River from Shreveport. I got a Bersa Thunder for Christmas. I'm new to weapons and my plan is to get my cc license.
I'm looking forward to meeting some new friends and learn as much as possible.

Howdy, Lynn! Bersa Chat is a HUGE repository of information on that new Thunder of yours. We have several experts who are outstanding in the field....but we can bring them inside to answer any question you might have. Thanks also for wanting to join the ranks of the armed citizenry. It's a bonafide good right to have.

I live in New Iberia, just bought a Bersa thunder 380 and am liking it a lot so far. I have had a Thunder 9 for about 10 years. Looking forward to talking to you all in the future.

If you've got an Academy sports & outdoors near you, they usually have a pretty good selection. 50 Rd boxes of FMJ are usually $18-$20

Welcome to Bersa Chat Scott. Another good source for ammo is Freedom Munitions. Choice of new or remanufactured. If you don't reload, they have some kind of deal on buying back your brass. Never did it, so don't know how it works. I've shot a good bit of their remanufactured ammo; .380, 9mm, 40S&W & .45ACP & had one weak round.
