    Smith Bodyguards..

Was at the gun show yesterday and held some bodyguards. Had plastic parts and the cylinder slide around back to front somewhat. Fit and finish just don't seem up to par for S&W. Sad day seeing this kind of crap from such a company..

I was not impressed. I did pick up one of their 438's though. Great trigger on it.

Buy real S&W go back to pin barrels and fireing pin on hammer. These are quality made today's are just poor copies of the old guns. cheapen parts and 2 piece barrels and higher price. I will pay about the same or less for a old as the new one and have 2 times the pistol. My Bodyguard model 49 steel frame was made in 1973 if memory serves me Look and feels brand new. Remember most people buy a gun and put in a drawer loaded just in case . Some are never shot. or may be a box in its life time. The owner dies or goes in old folks home and Their liberal kids sell that dangerous killer gun . .

I was also disgusted by these guns. The cylinder had way too much play in it. I was also looking at the 438 to carry as I have found that it would be my ideal carry gun after handling many a 9mm. What does everyone else think ab these as carry guns?

I haven't had a chance to fondle one but from the replies I'm not missing anything...
