Obama Judge Rules Chicago Gun Ban Unconstitutional

It appears that the regime needs to vet their judges more closely. A federal judge appointed by Prez Zero has ruled that Thugtown's ban on the sale and transfer of firearms is at odds with the 2A. However, perhaps in an effort to snatch some defeat out of the jaws of complete victory, the judge temporarily stayed his ruling and allowed the ban to continue to give time for the gun grabbers to appeal. Awful nice of him. The ban on so-called assault weapons remains in place.

If their assault rifle ban is overturned, it will free up the entire Chicago Metro area towns who also passed assault rifle bans. Makes me feel good all over.

The IL Supreme court found the FOID was unconstitutional under the Second Amendment and unconstitutional because it was impossible to comply with.
The State of Illinois appealed the case to the Illinois Supreme Court. We may see the Illinois State Supreme Court rule on this case in 2019.

Sounds like baby steps of progress. I would like to get a non-resident Illinois CCW but Michigan isn't on the approved list of states. Maybe Someday.

Just heard that the ILL Supreme Court denied the appeal by the State of ILL, but nothing positive. Also the NFL finally endorsed the Courts ruling. Only a few months late. BIG deal!

Change #1. I now have heard that the State of ILL appeal of the ILL Supreme Court FOID ruling, will not be heard until "sometime next year" In the mean time, we in IL will still be required to have an FOID to own a firearm, or buy ammo..
