Silly lee carbide 4 die set question.

Um.... I was reloading, mixed up a die, tried to seat a bullet with the crimp die..... Bullet got stuck so i took the die apart and forgot how the floating bit gets oriented.

I am fairly sure i did it backwards....
    What direction does it go?

im messing around trying to get pictures to upload.
In the mean time does the wide end go down? 20190416_173454.jpg

Your picture, at least to me, looks correct. Look at how the relationship of the adjustment knob and how it fits the floating crimp piece. The knob will fit over the carbide insert. Their proper relationship to each other should be obvious to you then. Looking at the base of an assembled die, I see a dark end or a ring of the carbide piece and no gap between it and the die body.
