has anyone tried Aguila SSS ?

60gr projectile, loaded to 950 fps for 120lb-ft of energy

Yes. I have shot some several years ago. Killed a possum. Prone to key holing out of a pistol barrel and I didn't try them in a rifle. I bought them for a suppressor but I'm afraid to try it. Scared it won't run true out of the barrel and kill the suppressor.

For what it is worth I shoot Aguilla Super Extra High Velocity from my suppressed Ruger Mark III and they is sub-sonic from a 4" barrel. Same ammo is super sonic from a rifle.

I've used Aguila SSS rounds in my Browning 1911-22.
They add just a touch of muzzle flip to the pistol.

good info, 60gr as much as 2x what HP loads run and easily 50% heavier than most all the rest

standard twist can't handle it but tumbling would be a good thing as a light duty CC / SD round if one were inclined

the boogers aren't giving the twist rate for the new threaded bbl 22 but they recommend HP or HV ,
i wonder if the 60gr cap would cause reliable function since you're saying you're noticing a slight increase in muzzle jump?

There were intended mostly as rifle loads.
The longer barrel would have a better chance to spin up the bullets.
          A 3" barrel just doesn't have a chance.

Vito, If you are looking for a really damaging self-defense round, let me recommend Winchester 42 Max. They come in two different velocities. One is Subsonic but still has plenty of penetration and expansion on real critters--foxes and raccoons, armadillos, one-shot inta-kill. The other is the same 42 grain sperm whale head hollow point with a copper coating at 1320 fps and 162 ft-lbs of muzzle energy (from a rifle). I used the Subsonics one whole season of critter killing and it absolutely decked everything I shot with it. I suspect the Hi-Vels would wreak even more hydro-static wreckage. I jug tested the Hi-vel Max 42's and they are a hoot if ya don't mind taking a shower; just ripped the jugs to halves.

You don't want to use any bullet that exits the muzzle tumbling because they would spread out (not to POA) even quicker than you would believe. I've seen it.
