Howdy, Medic62! Chances are I visited your company in the late '80s when I had a Cintas uniform route. I went all over "Tox Town" from Pasadena to LaPorte. Were you the XL shirt with size 44 pants?

Not in the '80's! I had a 36 waist then...44 now. I'm not fat, just retaining water (Lake Houston).

            Hi AG!

Wish I had known that a few years ago.
My wife and I were living in Denton until this job came up for her in Dallas.
We had a sailboat at Grandpappy and sailed several times a week.

Lake Texoma is wonderful - except for the blue-green algae bloom!
That one got me pretty bad just before we left.
The water at the piers was basically lake water and a pressure washer
makes a lot of mist. Oops!

            But the sailing is great.
Almost 50,000 acres of lake to explore and no city lights in sight!

We live in Mesquite now, but her contract is up in a few days and we have
been talking about what to do. She can continue where she is, if she wants,
and it's a good job that she enjoys.

Or we can get the hell outta Dallas area and go sail again, living on my
VA pension. I think we could get by just fine - a simpler lifestyle - but
            more fun.

Anyway, sorry to have missed you!

              north tex,
First of all, welcome to the show. Glad to have you aboard.

You missed the Longview Shoot-Out a while back.
But there is supposed to be another one coming up - over towards
the west side of Dallas some time soon.
              Stay tuned for details.

              break/break/
Do we have a thread on that event, or any more information yet?
              Well Armed Christian Soldier!

Welcome to Bersa Chat north tex. East Texas here, Gladewater area. Thinking I'll try to arrange an East Texas Meet & Greet sometime in October & would be glad to have you. Like Cavelamb said, they're trying to get one up in the DFW area, but I don't think anything is settled on it yet. Keep an eye out in the "General Chat" section for dates, etc.

No, it's private property from a work contact. Corp lake #4 I think it is.
