It's a great knife. I have a Case XX model (made by O.K. Co.) that was gifted to me by my son and another one "gifted" to me by Uncle Sam when I separated from the Corps. That one is believed to be a mid 70's model based on the packaging (Olean, NY) when it was issued to me. Half pin on pommel and has the two black spacers on the handle, one on top and the other on the bottom of the handle. Neither knife is a safe Queen. I say you use and enjoy the knife. They take a beating and hold their edge really well.

I have actually carried it a few time, on the weekend, and people tend to notice a few inches of a leather sheath hanging out, more than they seem to notice if you are carrying a handgun...strange.
I never had one issued to me while in the Corps, but then again, I was an Air Winger.........
