    Mauser

So guys and gals, what do you think of this one?

It is a Yugoslavian 24/47 Mauser, with all matching numbers, and has a clean bright bore. The co-worker I bought it off of, might sell me his K98k as well, but for now I was able to talk him out of this one.

I have never owned a Mauser of any type before, and was happy to get my hands on this one. I invested in 500 rounds of 8mm Mauser ammo, and am waiting to get a chance to take it to the range. I will post a review when I finally get over to do some shooting.

    Cheers!

You're going to love the mauser action. Mine is a sporterized K98 with a 30-06 barrel. The mauser bolt is super slick action. They are a joy to shoot. The Yugoslavian mausers are a really close copy and shoot nice

you know there's several + different versions of 8mm Mauser right?

the barrel should be stamped for which one it uses

Yup, it's a JS, and runs the rimless .323" Mauser ammo. I was confused at first, but before buying the ammo, I did my research. The JR is kinda an odd round, and is primarily for the really old Mausers and I guess seems to get use in Europe as a sporting round.
