    Me And My Henry

I went to the range today with my Henry and showed all those men how it's done.

Also shot my Dads Thompson with the 6 oz. trigger.

I used match pistol ammo in it.

Looks like a fun day! Knowing you'd show him up, I suppose dad didn't shoot?

Dee Dee, you shoot so good that even Chuck Norris calls the range to make sure you're not there.

Those poles (posts) are to stop cross range shooting. From your bench, your targets must fall between those poles. If not you must move to a different bench.
I don't think MT could blast through one of those.

I usually take my Henry 22mag to the range at least 4 or 5 times a year. But for the last few years, it's been a while, due to some health problems. Great rifle, always loved lever action rifles.

Wow, Dee Dee! I can't believe I am just now seeing this thread. I didn't know you were a 22 lever gun shooter. I don't have a Henry (yet) but I count myself blessed to have a Marlin 39AS since they don't make them anymore. I'm primarily a squirrel hunter (and eater too) but I always target shoot a lot in preparation for hunting. My other .22's (CZ 452's, Tikka, Marlin 60/7000's) like SK Magazine and Wolf Match Target, but my Marlin 39 prefers a strange choice in ammo. It shoots Winchester 36 grain Hollow Points better than expensive match ammo, but that is fine with me since it is for hunting anyway. If you live in a place where there's lots of forest, I believe you could make a fine squirrel hunter. But you would need some grizzled old man to teach you how--since it seems we are about the only ones who squirrel hunt anymore. Mmmm...carrots, potatoes and squirrellies in a pressure cooker...I"m so hungry right now

On an average day walking with DD through our Park adjacent to our house we see approximately 50 squirrels. I would say 1000 foot circle around our home the population is probably 800 estimated. Why so high you ask because DD feeds them along with every neighbor we got.

I have the same problem with Sue. She calls them "bird feeders" but they feed all the critters. Black, grey, red squirrels. Possums, chipmunks, skunks. And then I need to get rid of the "problem" critters. A couple of summers ago I relocated 25+ chipmunks. We were over run by the hoard. This year I couldn't figure out why she was buying 50 lbs of bird seed a week. AND then one night I saw this at 2 am!

Yep, that'll do it. Ours get supplemented by the racoons and o'possums which brings in the occasional coyote. And we live in the middle of town.
