Gunsite low mount thumb safety added

Hi all: added the Gunsite low mount thumb safety to my RIA on Saturday and got to the range yesterday. I'm really liking the feel of my thumb-over-safety grip! I could not do that grip at all with the stock safety but this really fits my (average) size hand and thumb well. I encourage you to take a look if you have an average to small size hand. Search Brownells for "Gunsite" and the safety will come up in the results. Will post pics later.

Just wondering; does it stick out further then the normal safety?

      Sorry for the delay--
Actually is is more streamlined than most extended length safeties. It is not in the way at all when holstering and drawing.
One caveat: I found that I cannot shoot my 1911 left handed with this safety. My index finger base joint tends to bump this safety back "on safe" when shooting.

For right handed target shooting--it's perfect!
      Hope this helps!
