To all in this ice storms path

Hope everyone who is in this path is prepared and off the roads. Stay hibernating and working off your preps. If you have to go out, be careful and keep your eyes up, falling ice is deadly. Take care and be safe, let us know when its over how your reps worked out and any standout gear that helped.

Prayers sent your way, from one who has been there many times.

I am unaware of this storm. What part of the country?

Yeah, I just googled that. Stay safe everyone. This one looks ugly for a few days.

It's actually come all the way south to Oklahoma City. Not as bad as predicted though.

May as well forget any reliable weather information on the weekends or holidays. Any way it's moving into the Northern half of IL now. But ice accumulations are some what small depending on where one lives. We have had about .01" of ice so far, and (are supposed to get another .02" ice tonight and .04" ice tomorrow morning before the storm get through). So we should not have any power outages (knock on wood). But there is always that drunk or idiot thinking they can still drive 60 mph slick roads and then wipe out a couple utility poles.

Edited: 1/17 a.m. update. No additional ice accumulation, it warmed up yesterday and we got a "lot" rain and fog. End of the storm came through last night. Huge storm covered a lot of territory.

Tornadoes tried to overtake us here. Supercell went through just missed my SIL and grandkids in Grand Prarie last night.

I hope this won't happen again. At times like these, I do in-house preparation by stockpiling food and medicine, I also prepare for evacuation by having spare tires like my toyo tires that I could use on any terrain especially during rain or snow.
